Our Mission
The mission of Coastal News TV is to inform, connect, educate, and empower the people of Southern Ondo State, Nigeria, at home and across the global diaspora.
We exist to provide responsible news, community storytelling, development-focused reporting, diaspora engagement, public-interest education, and digital media innovation for Southern Ondo communities.
Our mission is rooted in one clear belief:
Southern Ondo deserves a trusted digital media platform that tells our stories, connects our people, documents our development, celebrates our culture, and gives our communities a responsible voice.
Our Vision
Our vision is to become the trusted Southern Ondo News Hub — a digital media platform that strengthens the voice, visibility, connection, and development awareness of Southern Ondo people across the world.
We envision Coastal News TV as a platform where residents, diaspora members, community leaders, youths, professionals, businesses, associations, institutions, and development partners can stay informed, participate in meaningful conversations, and contribute to the progress of Southern Ondo.
We want to build more than a news channel.
We want to build a trusted media home for Southern Ondo.
What Our Mission Means
To inform means we provide verified news, community updates, public notices, development reports, events, and public-interest information that help our people know what is happening across Southern Ondo.
To connect means we build a bridge between Southern Ondo communities at home and our sons, daughters, families, professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, students, and supporters across the global diaspora.
To educate means we explain important issues in simple language, promote civic awareness, support media literacy, encourage responsible public communication, and help our people better understand matters that affect their lives.
To empower means we give communities visibility, help ordinary people share their voices, promote development awareness, support youth media training, highlight businesses and professionals, and create opportunities for meaningful participation.
Why Our Vision Matters
Southern Ondo has a rich history, strong communities, hardworking people, cultural depth, coastal and riverine identity, business potential, diaspora strength, and development opportunities.
But many of our stories are underreported, poorly documented, scattered across social media, or not presented with the professional structure they deserve.
Important community issues can easily become lost in rumor, politics, emotion, or misinformation. At the same time, positive achievements, diaspora contributions, business activities, youth progress, culture, and development efforts often do not receive enough visibility.
Coastal News TV exists to help close that gap.
Our vision is to make Southern Ondo more visible, more connected, better informed, and better represented in the digital age.

Our Editorial Mission
Our editorial mission is to build trust.
Coastal News TV is not built for gossip, rumor, reckless allegations, political attacks, public embarrassment, or careless reporting.

Our Diaspora Mission
Southern Ondo is not limited to one location.
Our people live across Nigeria and around the world. Many are building careers, businesses, families, ministries, associations, and professional lives abroad while still carrying a strong connection to home.
Our diaspora mission is to strengthen that connection.
Coastal News TV provides a platform where diaspora members can stay informed, share their stories, promote initiatives, support development, mentor younger people, and remain connected to Southern Ondo identity.
Our Technology and Innovation Mission
Coastal News TV embraces digital media innovation, including responsible use of AI-assisted tools, video production systems, social media distribution, content repurposing, captions, summaries, translations, and public education formats.
However, technology does not replace editorial responsibility.
Our standard is clear:
AI can assist. Humans must review. Coastal News TV remains accountable.
We use technology to improve clarity, speed, accessibility, storytelling, and distribution — not to mislead the public.
